The first thing a specialist does with your course is arithmetic, and it takes about ten minutes. Add the weight of everything still ungraded — that is the most the rest of the term can add. Add what you have already banked. The two together give you the highest grade this course can still produce, and almost nobody has worked it out before they write in.
That number decides the plan. A course whose ceiling sits comfortably above your target needs scheduling, not heroics. A course whose ceiling has already dropped below it needs a different conversation entirely, and you deserve to have that conversation in week four rather than week ten. We will run the sums with you before quoting, and occasionally the honest answer is that your money is better spent on next term.
The first leak is compliance, and it is the cheaper one to fix. Marks disappear into the posting day you missed, the source the rubric required, the criterion you answered in passing. None of that is about ability. A student who loses eight points a week to timing and box-ticking is not struggling with the subject, they are struggling with a calendar, and a calendar is a solvable problem.
The second leak is depth. The rubric asked you to evaluate and the paragraph described; it asked for current scholarship and got a decade-old citation. That gap is what separates a competent submission from a distinguished one, and closing it is genuinely coaching rather than admin. Most courses are leaking from both, and knowing the proportions tells you where the next four hours belong.
A term that is merely rescued ends where it started: you scraped through and you begin the next one with the same habits. A term that is coached leaves you with a course chart you can build yourself, a sense of which rubric words carry weight, and drafts that started earlier because you had somewhere to put them.
That is why students who work with us for a second term usually need less of us, not more. The average moves further in the third term than the first, because the plan improves faster than the workload does. It is also why we would rather start with you in week one than week nine — the same fee buys considerably more when there is a term left to spend it on.
Everything reaches you before it reaches your course. You read it, revise anything that does not sound like you, and submit it yourself. Nobody here holds your login, nobody wants it, and an engagement is reviewed against that rule rather than merely described by it.
There is a practical reason as well as a principled one. A student who has read their own submission can talk about it — in a discussion thread, in a viva, in an awkward email from a program director. A student who has not is exposed in a way no amount of quality makes up for. So the parts of a course that require you specifically, a proctored sitting or a recorded presentation or hours on a clinical floor, are identified in the first reading and built into the plan as things you will be ready for.

It depends on the course, which is why the figure comes after a reading rather than before one. Across this market a full course runs from a few hundred dollars into the low four figures, with doctoral work above that and single assignments well below. Four things move it. How specialised the subject is, since a doctoral statistician's time is scarcer than a generalist's. How much assessment the course actually contains. How much of the term has already gone. And how much warning you give us, which is the only one of the four you control.
