Look at what your returned attempts actually say. Comments about depth, specificity or evidence mean the gap is technique, and technique closes quickly once somebody shows you the difference on your own page. Comments about criteria being unaddressed mean something more basic is going wrong, which takes longer. The two need different amounts of work and it is worth knowing which you are looking at before paying for anything.

In the self-paced route, yes, directly. You are buying a period of time rather than a course, so a fortnight where nothing is submitted is a fortnight of what you paid for spent on nothing. Because nothing is ever marked late, there is no warning signal at all. Counting what remains against the days left is the only mechanism that tells you where you stand.

Read the wording of the criterion rather than adding length. The top level almost always names an operation — evaluate, synthesise, justify — and a standard for the evidence. A paragraph that accurately summarises three sources can usually be turned into one that weighs them against each other in twenty minutes, and that change moves columns where another page of text does not.

Yes, and they are deliberately held by different people. A doctoral project moves in arcs of months and coursework moves in weeks; when one person holds both, the long arc always loses to the immediate deadline. The project strand is quoted separately for the same reason, and a fair number of Capella students take only that.

None of it directly, which is exactly why it catches people. Placement documentation does not affect a mark, it affects whether you may progress at all, so a term with excellent results can still stall on an unsigned agreement. It is worth tracking as a separate obligation with its own dates rather than folding it into your coursework planning.
